Internet Services Dept.

The Internet Services Department does not maintain seven-day or 24-hour response and a reply may take several days. The I.S.D. assists registered users only.

Members are entitled to full Internet services but the I.S.D. has no way of determining whether an individual is a member. Members who are not registered users may e-mail the Office Manager to arrange registration. Members who are registered users and paid non-member subscribers may e-mail the Webmaster for assistance.

Old Stone Fort Internet Services

Member and subscriber content is now being added to the Old Stone Fort-Schoharie County Historical Society website.

At this time our selection is limited to the Historical Review articles listed on the Review's home page.

Our Internet services targets are:

  • Secure, on-line purchases from the Museum Store. DONE!
  • On-line purchase of SCHS membership. DONE!
  • Free premium on-line services for members including the Historical Review and a 10-year archive. STARTED
  • Premium on-line service for subscribing non-members, including Historical Review and archive. STARTED
  • Virtual exhibits. DEMO UP, TESTED, IN REVISION
  • Access to library and archive holdings when on line

Paid membership includes Internet services, however members will have to be provided with user names and passwords. At this writing, a procedure has not been established to accomplish this automatically. Members may email office@schohariehistory.net to become registered users. The Office Manager will verify membership and issue a work order to the Internet Services Department, directing us to establish an Internet account and issue a user name and password. ISD will then send the new user a user name and, following confirmation of email address, will send a password.

Members do not need to "log in" through a log-in page. When you reach a page that requires log-in, you will be asked to do so. When you log in through a log-in link, you will be directed to the Member Services page.
