Summer Lecture: The Women’s Suffrage Movement
Celebrate the Women’s Suffrage Movement and learn about the nearly 72 year battle it took to earn women a constitutional right to vote nearly a century ago on Thursday, July 25 at 7 p.m. in the Old Stone Fort Museum’s Badgley Museum Annex.
Kim Harvish, Educator at Glens Fall’s Chapman Historical Museum and a member of Celebrating Suffrage in Greater Glens Falls will narrate a multifaceted presentation detailing the movement.
With the help of other suffragette reenactors in period clothing, Harvish will lead the audience in suffragette songs, give first person interpretations and bring to life the grassroots effort to bring women to the ballot box.
