Civil War Veterans Cemetery Project
In collaboration with the Cpl. James Tanner Camp #134 Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, we will be starting a project to clean, repair, and replace if necessary Civil War Veterans’ headstones in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery. Below are the names and photos of the headstones that need some level of care to be returned to a readable and sustainable state. We will be announcing a cleaning and basic resetting workshop for early 2024 soon!
Many of these stones will require professional expertise and equipment to reset and repair, so any donation towards this effort is highly appreciated. To donate, you can send a check to the Old Stone Fort, visit the Fort to make a credit card or cash donation, or use the PayPal link below. If using check or PayPal, please make a note that your donation is for the cemetery project.
