Christmas in Schoharie is this Saturday! The Museum Complex will be open for the last time in 2024 from 10am to 4pm with a cookie contest, vendors, food, music, basket raffles, a quilt raffle, and Palatine living history in the Hartmann’s Dorf House.
Cookie Contest:
To participate in the cookie contest, bake your best batch of cookies and bring them to the Badgley Museum Complex before 11:30am and let the people decide if you have the best cookies! Visitors will be able to taste the cookies and vote on their favorites.
Bakers, we will be dividing your cookies up into smaller pieces for visitors to taste but please bring enough to go around! Please either come with a list of ingredients or be prepared to give one to staff at drop-off for allergy purposes.
Food:
The Sass Squash food truck will be on site with some warm food to fuel you through the festivities planned throughout the village.
Music:
There will be live historical music throughout the day in the Fort!
Palatine Living History:
Living historians will have Hartmann’s Dorf open with a fire to keep you warm while you learn about how the Palatines lived at this time of year. You might even get a taste of some wassail!
Basket Raffles:
There will be over ten different baskets with prizes for you to win! This means there are lots of chances and a little bit of something for everyone. You will not need to be present to win.
Quilt Raffle:
Saturday will be the last day to purchase raffle tickets for this beautiful locally-made quilt!
