Early 1900s Doll

One of the most popular and certainly most photographed items on display at the Old Stone Fort Museum is this doll from the early 1900s.

Owned by Evelyn McMahon, of East Durham, in 1918, the doll was generously donated by Ms. McMahon to the collections of the Schoharie County Historical Society and is one of several dolls on display in the second floor gallery at the Old Stone Fort Museum.

Some people think she is adorable, some people think she is terrifying. Be sure to travel to the Old Stone Fort and check her out for yourself to make your own determination. However, be prepared, as she has been featured several times by the Haunted History Trail of New York!

The dolls are joined by other toys, games and books popular with children at the turn of the 20th century.
